James Hammond, Nov 6, 2011, 8:26PM ESTDick Maffei is in hospice. As you and he shared some thoughts, I thought you would be interested to know. Dick dealt with heavy topics all his life. I knew him as a neighbor to my grandparents, and my parents after my grandparents were gone. He was deeply involved in game theory around the doctrine of mutually assured destruction in the sixties and seventies with the department of defense. (he taught at MIT). Literally , he had the fate of the world on his mind. Few human beings are finer. He will be missed.

Xuemei Li, Jan 4, 2011, 1:03PM ESTHi Christin, It's Xuemei here. I'm a Chinese woman living in Boston, MA and have been on my "awakening" path for 4 years. I know you wrote the book "The awakening of Byron Katie", but it's withdrawn from the market now. I am so so so wanting to read this book! I've been to Katie's workshops and read some of her books, but about her living situation around her awakening time, I feel the urge to know, maybe it's my mind that always wants to find out. I thought I would let the idea cool down with time, but it's still there now, so I decide to contact you, and try my chance to see if you had a copy still somewhere on your bookshelf. Then I'd like to ask you if you could lend it to me for a month so that I can read it and return it to you? Grateful. Of course I'll cover the registered mail postages. I googled your name and this is the only way I can contact you. I feel somehow I will get inspirations from this book.
Thank you in advance, happy new year! -
M. Bradley McCauley, Mar 10, 2009, 11:02AM EDTChristine, I deleted it because it was very anti liberal and I felt beneath my dignity to keep it there. I'm a liberal conservative, a bit more conservative than liberal, but I don't like party bashing so I pulled it.

Jose Wolfster M., Oct 12, 2008, 6:30AM EDTBlessings always come and go and yet our hearts must go at times. Allow the experience to flow and allow the warmth that was be your guide in your writings and memories of him. God always has a plan and when we all reach that platform we must adjust our selves to be ready for that final step. I wish you the best and will always keep you in prayers. God Bless you in this time of need.
